  • I teach from my fully soundproofed studio on Sewardstone Street (EN9).

  • There are teachers who do travel and will charge you for that premium. I only teach from my studio at it has everything there to make sure you can get the most from your lesson.

  • Generally to make meaningful progress I would advise coming once a week. I understand that can be expensive and so you may opt to spread lesson out more to suit your situation.

  • Yes. Mainly Rockschool but I do also cover Trinity.

  • No I only teach 1-2-1.

  • This will depend on many factors but the short answer is as much as you can. You will get out what you put in. I will work with you to develop a practice plan that can realistically deliver on your goals.

  • After your first lesson you will need some sticks, a notepad and pen.

  • No. At the start it is mainly about coordination.

  • There is no substitution for the real thing but they are a lot more practical if noise is a concern.

  • Of course, whether it’s acoustic or electric, I have lots of knowledge for you and can point you in the direction of where you can get the best bang for your buck.
