Perfectly situated on the borders of North London and Essex,my custom-designed teaching and recording studio features a full acoustic kit, electronic drums, percussion, mics and recording gear—ideal for focused drum tuition.   • This is just a small selection of some of the books I have we can use to work from. I have materials to cover everything from technique to styles and everything in between. I even have scores for many theatre shows if that is something you want to get into.

  • You’ll be lucky enough to play on my Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute which is a well regarded kit. To add to this I have a selection of snares and an even larger selection of sabian cymbals. As you deepen your knowledge it’s nice to be able to choose sounds that fit the music you are playing.

  • As a physical activity it’s important we take care of our body for longevity. And also just to makes playing the instrument easier and feel good. Working on your technique using a pad in front of a mirror is a great way to take yourself to the drum gym and focus on your form.

  • The modern drummer now has to be able to use electronics. I have all the essential gear you would use on gigs and can show you how to implement it into your playing to be able to play a hybrid drum kit.

  • ‘It needs more cowbell!’

    Being able to play some basic percussion will always come in handy as a drummer. We will even play percussion while playing the kit. I’ve got everything from mountable percussion to use at the kit to handheld things like shakers and guiros.

  • Recording yourself is a great tool to improve your learning. In my studio we are fully equipped with high quality audient preamps, a universal audio interface, great mics to capture it all and a top of the range apple macbook pro to record it with using logic pro x. I also have gopro cameras to film it with too.
